University Bylaws

As of 1 April 2009, the HWR Berlin introduced new Bylaws and new University Statutes.

Since the HWR Berlin Faculties and Institutes form independent academic and administrative structural units for the programmes and degree courses, they have their own committees. Further information is available on the web pages of the individual Faculties.

Law on Institutions of Higher Education in the State of Berlin (Berliner Hochschulgesetz BerlHG)

On 12 May 2011, the Berlin House of Representatives ratified the “Law on Modernising Access to Institutions of Higher Education and on Quality Assurance of Studying and Examinations” (Gesetz zur Modernisierung des Hochschulzugangs und zur Qualitätssicherung von Studium und Prüfung). Under this new law, many of the original provisions in the BerlHG have been amended. The key new provisions in the amended law from the BSEL’s perspective have been summarised in a presentation by the University President.
