• Trained as a banker
• Studied Business Administration at the Free University (FU), Berlin and obtained diploma
• Research assistant at the Department of Finance, Accounting and Taxation of the Economics Faculty of the Free University, Berlin
• Organised and conducted an internal audit at a research institute
• Doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.) at the Free University, Berlin
• Worked for several years in various companies within a banking group, for example as chief auditor in the group auditing department - responsible for real estate - and as the person responsible in a subsidiary for the introduction and implementation of an appropriate controlling system
• Various lecturing contracts at the FU Berlin and at private educational institutes
• Since the summer semester 2003: Professor of Business Accounting (in conjunction with IT)
