Key Aspects of practise

  • Conduct of research projects (financed by, amongst others, the VW foundation, the German Research Foundation (DFG), the Hans Böckler Foundation, and the European Union) on the problems of transition from planned to market economies, on the limitations and scope of fiscal policy and the development of the international currency system
  • Regular lectures and consultancy work together with foundation, Inwent (Capacity Building International, Germany) – formerly known as the German Foundation for International Development – particularly in Central Asia and China.
  • Expert reports for, amongst others, the GTZ (a German state-owned enterprise for international technical cooperation and development) and the Green parliamentary party in the Bundestag.
  • Regular lectures for the Friedrich-Ebert Foundation, above all in China
