Academic and Professional Career

• 1977-1983: Studied Economics and obtained diploma at the University of Frankfurt
• 1984-1989: Research assistant at the University of Frankfurt, Faculty of Economics, and in a special project area - also worked on an international research project
• 1991: obtained doctorate (Dr. rer. pol. )
• 1989-2006: various senior executive functions in personnel management at Hertie, METRO and Roche, as well as consultancy work
• Since April 2006: Professor at the Berlin School of Economics and Law
