Academic and Professional Career

  • 1991-1997: Studied Business Administration at the University of Bayreuth
  • 1997-2000: Management consultant and project manager at CTcon GmbH, Vallendar and Düsseldorf – design and introduction of ratio systems, balanced scorecards and investment and project controlling
  • 2000-2003: Research assistant for the chair of controlling and telecommunication (Prof. Dr. Jürgen Weber) at the WHU – Otto Beisheim Graduate School of Management, Vallendar
  • 2003: Obtained doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.), topic: Structuring the relationship between venture capital companies and start-up enterprises
  • since 2000: Freelance work as management consultant, specialising in business start-up consultancy and change management, and as trainer at management seminars, specialising in controlling, project management, financial and managerial accounting, corporate planning and investment management
  • since 2004: founding member and board member of “jem e.V. – Jugend entdeckt Marktwirtschaft” – an association helping young people to discover the market economy
  • 2004: Lecturer at the FHW Berlin
  • since 2005: Professor of Business Administration at the FHW Berlin / BSEL, specialising in managerial accounting and controlling
