- Since 1999, Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Berufsakademie Berlin, now the Faculty of Company-Linked Courses at the BSEL
- 1998–1999 research and development engineer working on car clutches for LuK GmbH in Buehl, southern Germany
- 1994–1998 gained relevant practical experience in systems engineering project planning at the company Ernst Augustin, Berlin
- 1993–1998 project engineer for the engineering company Prof. Rumpel, Berlin
