Academic and Professional Career

  • 1986-1992: Studied Law at the Universities of Mainz, Dijon (France) and Freiburg
  • 1992-1994: Research assistant of Professor of Public Law (Prof. D. Murswiek)
  • 1996-2000: Lawyer (junior partner) at Oppenhoff & Radler in Berlin and Frankfurt, specialising in litigation and insolvency law
  • 2001-2005: Lawyer at Hogan & Hartson Raue L.L.P., an international law firm based in Washington D.C., specialising in credit securities, financing, general business law and architectural law
  • 2004-2005: Part-time lecturer at the FHW Berlin (now Berlin School of Economics and Law)
  • Since WS 2005/2006: Professor at the FHW Berlin/BSEL, appointed by the vice-chancellor to be responsible for the course in Business Law
