In close cooperation with the Division Academic Directors, the Department's Deans of Studies are especially responsible for ensuring that the degree programmes are run in accordance with the programme and examination regulations.
They ensure that the course of study can be completed within the prescribed period and that students are properly supervised on the basis of uniform standards.
Together with the centralised and decentralised quality management, they also supervise the evaluation of teaching and the implementation of the quality standards resulting from such an evaluation.
Finally, their work also comprises the development of new fields and programmes of study, and their accreditation.
