Steinbeis Research Centre at the Faculty of Company-Linked Programmes

The Steinbeis Research Centre at the Faculty of Company-Linked Programmes focuses on sustain- ability in civil engineering. This involves examining engineering sequences, processes and materials for their environmental impact. This process of testing and developing, firmly related to engineer- ing practice, ensures that the appropriate decisions are taken regarding the environmental impact on future generations at every step of the construction process from first draft to demolition.

The basic principles for the centre’s work were laid down in a co-operative agreement between the Transfer Network of the Steinbeis Foundation and the Berufsakademie Berlin in 2000.
