Guidelines
The Berlin School of Economics and Law (BSEL) provides guidelines on good academic practice at the University and on handling misconduct in teaching and research.
Ombudspersons
In the case of suspected academic misconduct, University members can approach an Ombudsperson in the knowledge that the case will be dealt with confidentially. The Ombudsperson will examine the pertinent facts to assess possible misconduct. If this assessment confirms the suspicion of teaching or research misconduct, the Ombudsperson will notify the Standing Committee on Investigating Academic Misconduct and ensure the appropriate safeguard of confidentiality to protect the person originally informing the Ombudsperson and the person affected.
