• Adviser to the Landesbank Rheinland-Pfalz in Mainz
• Research assistant and doctorate at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz
• Lecturer in law (DAAD – German Academic Exchange Service) at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland
• Since October 1997: Professor of Private Business Law at the FHW Berlin/BSEL
