On behalf of the GTZ, Prof. Dr. Oesten Baller, Professor

at the Berlin School of Economics and Law, has been on a fact finding mission from 12–18 April 2010 in Kabul, Afghanistan. The aim of the mission, carried out together with Michael Rösch from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH, was to explore possible German support in modernising the public sector in Kabul and northern Afghanistan.

New University Management at the HWR Berlin

The Berlin School of Economics and Law (BSEL) is expanding its range of Bachelor and Master degree courses. Six innovative degree programmes are scheduled to start in the winter semester 2010/11 and preparation for three more Master programmes is already underway. The new MA programmes strengthen the University's profile, providing a portfolio of postgraduate degrees for those prospective students with a Bachelor degree or equivalent first...

In its meeting on Tuesday, 19 January 2010, the BSEL Berlin's Academic Senate appointed Prof. Dr. Thorsten Kurzawa as First Vice President and Prof. Dr. Andreas Zaby and Prof. Dr. Clemens Arzt as Vice Presidents.
