North American University representatives visit the Berlin School of Economics – Activities in the USA strengthened

27 June 2008

On 26 June 2008, the Berlin School of Economics welcomed 22 high-ranking college and university administrators from the USA and Canada. The meeting with representatives of North American Universities, including Harvard University, Columbia University and the University of British Columbia, provided a forum for a mutual exchange of experience and a deeper insight into the different university landscapes. The guests, on the "Germany Today 2008" information programme run by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), are using their stay in Germany for talks with local universities and leading extramural research institutes and organisations. As the only University of Applied Sciences visited by the delegation of representatives, the Berlin School of Economics gave them an especially warm welcome. In the course of the visit, the BSE presented its courses and degree programmes, and its international activities. A joint discussion session focused on debating the challenges of and opportunities in an expanded North American-German study exchange programme.
