INAktion – Support programme for international students
Every semester around 120 exchange and visiting students arrive at the Berlin School of Economics (FHW Berlin) from all over the world. In addition, there are a further 600 international full-time students already on a wide range of programmes here. It takes a while to get used to studying at a new university – and especially in a foreign county where you may not be familiar with the general lifestyle or academic expectations. The International Office's Induction and Buddy Programme is designed to help you find your feet quickly in a new environment. International students are invited to join other University students (Buddies) to take part in the weekly events.
The programme comprises an overview of courses and facilities, guided tours of the city, a Welcome Party, an excursion to Weimar, and a variety of cultural and sporting activities.
All the international students and their Buddies from the Berlin School of Economics (FHW Berlin) are invited to take part in the programme. For the FHW Berlin students, this provides a wonderful opportunity to experience, at first hand, life in an international environment.
For international students, the induction programme helps you get to know the Berlin lifestyle better and fosters academic and social integration. In addition, your Buddy offers a first point of contact for all sorts of questions about everyday (student) life.
