Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany unites the ministers and senators of the Länder responsible for education, higher education and research as well as cultural affairs. It is based on an agreement between the Länder. One key task of the Standing Conference is to ensure the highest possible degree of mobility throughout Germany for pupils, students, teaching personnel and those working in the science sector by means of consensus and co-operation.
