Bachelor in Business Administration

The Bachelor in Business Administration is an interdisciplinary programme providing theoretical and applied insights into a wide range of business areas. The programme also offers the option of a semester abroad and/or supervised work experience.

During Part One, supported by modules in applied subjects, students gain a broad and systematic foundation in business administration, economics, law and sociology. Part Two offers students a wide range of streamed modules that can be combined to suit different interests and goals. The focus here is on innovative and interdisciplinary modules, streamed electives taught in English and key qualifications to promote the soft skills needed in discussion and debate, team work and leadership. Case studies, projects, and a strategic business game promote independent analysis and solution-oriented approaches. In Part Two of the programme, contacts to partner Universities and companies encourage supervised work experience or a study semester abroad.

Admission Requirements and Selection Procedure

Admission Requirements

• Academic qualifications meeting the general requirements for admission to a University or University of Applied Sciences, or professional qualifications allowing University admission as specified in §11 of the Law on Institutions of Higher Education in the State of Berlin (Berliner Hochschulgesetz ‑ BerlHG)
• German language university entrance exam for foreign students.
• Proof* (only for the full-time programme) of very good English language skills at Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) B1 level.

* Suitable proof of English language skills: A language exam such as TOEFL (min. 407 paper based, 100 computer based) or continuous English lessons at least up to the German 10th grade or equivalent or completing the secondary school certificate (German 10th grade or equivalent) or meeting the requirements to study at a University of Applied Sciences or having bilingual school education in English or being an English native speaker.

Restricted Admission

Where there are more applicants than places, programmes follow a NC (numerus clausus) procedure.
