The HWR Berlin is very pleased to welcome the total of 300 exchange students from 39 different nations to the Schöneberg and Lichtenberg campuses. 185 of them are starting their first semester at the HWR Berlin. For the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, there is a good chance that a large part of the courses will take place in presence.

The International Office's orientation programme for the exchange students will also take place largely in presence. The campus tours on 7 and 9 March kicked things off. Here, the students were able to get to know the HWR Berlin and make contact with their fellow students.

Before the semester begins in April, the exchange students can now get to know Berlin and improve their language skills during a two-week intensive German course. In addition, a varied cultural programme awaits the exchange students over the next few days, including a boat tour through Berlin and a guided tour along the Berlin Wall and through various museums such as the Futurium and the Tränenpalast.

Study abroad at a partner university

The International Office is also looking forward to sending more HWR Berlin students to our international partner universities for an exchange semester in the coming semesters.

The application period for a stay abroad starting in the winter semester usually begins in October/November and for the summer semester in April/May. Exact dates are stored in the International Office Moodle course of the respective department.
