Quality management at HWR Berlin
Teaching and study at HWR Berlin are subject to regular quality controls. These controls are tasked to the CaQ – the Centre for Academic Quality Assurance and Development.
Evaluation, university didactics and process management are central components of quality management at HWR Berlin. The CaQ, the Centre for Academic Quality Assurance and Development, is responsible for the development and expansion of a quality management system for the entire university.
All Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes are subject to programme accreditation procedures at regular intervals. This entails: The quality of teaching and study is evaluated and assured by an accreditation agency. The CaQ supports the departments and the Berlin Professional School (the central continuing education institute at the university) by organising and implementing these procedures.
The CaQ is advised by the Quality Advisory Board in the development of all its procedures and instruments. Additionally, the CaQ coordinates participation in external surveys that take place at HWR Berlin (e.g. rankings).
