Police and Security Management in Profile

Multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary: Studying at the Department of Police and Security Management allows students to address a wide variety of public and private security issues from national and international perspectives.

The declared aim of the department is to impart and develop the necessary professional competences that meet the scientific demands and practical requirements that exist within the professional field of “security". More than 40 professors and numerous lecturers from professional practice support students in acquiring knowledge.

All degree programmes impart necessary specialist and methodological knowledge from the disciplines of law, policing, security, social and economic sciences, as well as provide professionally relevant key qualifications. This includes, for example, a sense of responsibility, teamwork and conflict management skills, as well as the development of ethically sound attitudes and behaviour. Training is interdisciplinary, praxis-oriented, and uses the most modern teaching and learning methods.

In addition, the department maintains intensive contacts with international partner universities and other educational and research institutions. Furthermore, regular connective exchange is maintained with a large number of security-oriented companies and agencies from the region and beyond.
