Lecture »Insights into the Current War in the Middle East«

Prof. Kuttner is a certified mediator and an Associate Professor of Dispute Resolution at the University of Haifa, where he teaches and carries out research on conflict management, societal stability and peacebuilding. Previously he served as an academic advisor to Givat Haviva, an organization that aims to build a shared society and dialogue among Jews and Arabs in Israel. In his talk, Kuttner will provide insights into the current war between Israel and Hamas, discuss its societal effects in Israel and sketch potential scenarios for the way forward.  

The event will last approximately one hour and will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Janpeter Schilling. It is the start of a series of lectures on conflict regions in our world, which will take place in the Studium Generale in the summer semester.
