Planting an ecological flower garden
The days are numbered until crocuses and daffodils will blossom and spring announces itself - just the right time to dedicate some time to gardening on the HWR Berlin premises. In Kufsteiner Straße in front of House B at Campus Schöneberg, we want to create an ecological flower meadow in cooperation with the neighbouring allotment garden colony at Stadtpark I.

Invitation to the Project Workshop: Planting an ecological flower garden
Ecological flower meadows are low-maintenance because they reseed themselves every year, and contribute to local nature and species conservation. The first two kick-off meetings serve the thematic discussion of ecological flower gardens, the joint project planning and the site inspection. The following dates are dedicated to practical implementation, provided that frost and heavy rain do not thwart the plans.
The rooms will be announced by e-mail after registration
Goals:
- Concept development for an ecological flower meadow on the Schöneberg campus
- Preparation of the area (removal of shrubs, preparation of the soil, etc.)
- Planting the flower meadow (soil preparation, sowing, etc.)
- If necessary, development of further ideas for the greening of the campus
Kickoff Termine
- Thursday 23.02.2023, 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
- Saturday 04.03.2023, 12 p.m.–2p.m.
Students can receive credit for regular participation at a later date. The prerequisite is that the project workshop on gardening offered in the summer semester in the Studium Generale is taken and that further dates are attended there. A total of 1 CP can be earned.
