Online databases
Numerous online databases and other freely accessible services can be accessed via the Database Information System (DBIS) interface.
These include access to databases acquired with the support of the German Research Foundation (DFG) and its partner institutions. DBIS also provides an overview of the database offering of a number of German-language libraries.

The multidisciplinary journal database DACH Information offers access to the full t exts of over 550 journals and magazines. Topics include business and economics, law, management, marketing, psychology and social sciences.

The primary aim of DOAB is to increase traceability of Open Access books. The directory is open to all publishers who publish academic, peer reviewed books in Open Access and should contain as many books as possible, provided that these publications are in Open Access and meet academic standards.

EconLit, American Economic Association's electronic database contains more than 1,500,000 records for literature from 1969 to the present. EconLit covers almost all areas of the economy and related areas with references to relevant documents. In addition, leading important journals and books (e-books) are included in full text that are not part of the Business Source Complete, e.g. the Handbook of World Trade.

The Entrepreneurial Studies Source database provides the latest insights into issues relevant to entrepreneurs in general and small businesses in particular. This resource provides users with full text for more than 110 professionally relevant journals, 147 reference works and manuals, case studies, thousands of company profiles and over 64,600 videos with transcripts and related articles from the Harvard Faculty Series and Vator.TV.

offers its service to educational
institutions and currently
provides access to around
17,000 films, documentaries,
series and instructional videos,
mainly in English, on a wide
range of topics. Kanopy works
directly with filmmakers and
film distribution companies to
provide, among other things:

Education Foundation, PBS and
the BBC. For licensing reasons,
some titles are only released
for users from North America,
including a large part of the
feature films from the wellknown
Criterion Collection.
Optionally, English-language
subtitles can be displayed for
the films, which are mostly of
good quality. After registering

The knowledge database contains a variety of documents (statements, expert opinions, manuals, materials, reports and position papers) regarding local authority management issues.
