University Day 2026
The first joint University Day at HWR Berlin on 28 May 2026 will be held under the motto ‘Thinking, researching and shaping the future’. It offers students, staff and lecturers a unique opportunity to learn, discuss and develop innovative ideas for the future of our university together.

The day will be organised jointly by university members of all status groups and will take place at both campus locations.
You can get involved in a wide variety of formats: workshops, lectures, peer-to-peer formats, barcamps or exhibitions. Topics such as diversity, democracy, sustainability, health, good work, innovation & entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence and digital technology will be the focus, but other contributions are also welcome.
There will be no regular classes on this day to enable students to participate. All HWR Berlin employees are exempt from work to participate and help organise the event. Lecturers are invited to contribute to the University Day as part of their courses.
