Keynote speech & teaching at UEH in Ho Chi Minh City
Prof. Dr. Carsten Baumgarth from HWR Berlin was a guest keynote speaker and moderator at the 3rd ArtTech Fusion Conference in September 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City.
In his keynote speech, “Augmented Creativity – AI at the Crossroads of Brands, Research and Arts,” he highlighted the creative potential of artificial intelligence in the context of brand management, research, and art. He also moderated the panel discussion “ArtTech for a Greener Future,” which explored innovative ArtTech approaches for sustainable transformation.
The ArtTech Fusion Conference is considered one of the leading platforms for interdisciplinary exchange between art and technology in Asia. With around 4,500 participants from science, business, and the creative industry, it offered a diverse program of keynotes, panels, workshops, and performances – turning Ho Chi Minh City into the center of the global ArtTech scene for three days.
During his stay in Vietnam, Prof. Baumgarth gave two guest lectures at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) on the topics of “AI & Brand Management” and “Arts & Brands.” He also used his stay to discuss possible joint research projects with researchers from UEH.
The UEH was founded in 1976 and, with around 40,000 students, is one of the largest and most renowned universities in Vietnam. It regularly ranks among the top universities in international rankings, including Top 301 – Best Universities in Asia and Top 5 in Vietnam.
