Publishing in (Top Tier) Journals: An Editor’s Perspective

Authors want to publish their work in the best journal possible and editors want to publish high quality papers that will be cited by the people who normally read the journal. How do both sides find common ground? Robert Davidson will open up the black box of the academic publishing world. He explains what editors are looking for and therefore seek to help authors to ensure that their research articles are prepared in such a way as to maximise their chances of acceptance. He will use the Information Systems Journal as an example, but the same principles apply to all other good journals.
